This video shows how to best maintain Beam Mini (2).

Remove the top of Beam mini (2) and empty the entire container. Also empty the bottom of Beam mini (2) and clean everything. Then put it back together again and fill Beam mini (2) with water. Wait a few minutes before turning Beam mini (2) on again, so that the water can drip to the bottom.

It is possible that some dirt/moisture has got onto the sensor. You can try to remedy this by following the steps below:

1 - Under the base of Beam mini (2) you will see a small plastic grille with a tab. By gently pressing this, you can remove the cover;
2 - Underneath the grille that has just been removed, there is another grille. This protects the air quality sensor;
3 - Clean this area with a slightly damp cotton swab;
4 - Boil some water in a kettle and hold it under the Beam mini so that the vapour passes through the grille;
5 - Replace the cover and fill Beam mini (2) with water again.

The E1 fault has to do with the water sensor. It now measures an empty tank when that is not the case. Fortunately, you can reset this sensor briefly so that this message is no longer displayed incorrectly.
Follow the steps below to solve your problem.

- Switch off Beam mini (2) and disconnect the plug from the wall socket;
- Beam mini (2) consists of a bottom (the water reservoir) and a top (the water tank);
- Remove the top of Beam mini (2) and place it temporarily to one side, preferably in a sink;
- Remove the water from the bottom of Beam mini (2);
- Put the plug in the wall socket;
- Press the minus sign on the remote control until you hear a beep;
- Place the top, including the water, back on Beam mini (2);
- Wait a moment until the water has drained from the water tank;
- Switch Beam mini (2) back on, the E1 message should no longer be visible.

The remote control is on Beam (mini) (2) itself and can be clicked out from below.

To connect Beam (Mini) to the Duux app, it must be in pairing mode. The WIfi icon should then flash. If this does not happen when you press the "mode" button, you will need to perform a short reset. We ask you to follow these steps:

  1. Take the remote control out of Beam (mini);
  2. Point the remote control at Beam (mini) and press the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep, then release the button;
  3. Then press the POWER button on Beam (mini) itself (not on the remote control!) until you hear a beep, then release the button;
  4. Wait a few seconds. The Wi-Fi logo should now blink rapidly, after which you can try to connect to the app again.
